About this Event
Father’s Day in Spain – Día del Padre / Dia del Pare Father’s Day in Spain is celebrated on the 19th of March, the feast day of Saint Joseph (San José / Sant Josep) – making it a fixed date in the calendar every year, unlike many other countries where it falls on a Sunday in June. In Mallorca and across Spain, it’s a day for families to come together – often over a long lunch, of course. Schools typically mark the occasion in the days leading up to it, and it’s tradition in many Mallorquín families to share an ensaïmada or other sweet treat on the day. A public holiday in some regions of Spain (not on Mallorca!), the 19th of March is a good date to keep in mind when planning events, restaurant bookings, or anything family-related on the island. Date: 19th of March (fixed annually) Also known as: Día del Padre (Spanish) / Dia del Pare (Catalan/Mallorquín) / Sant Josep
